Protesto pela paz e contra a violência policial mobiliza Comunidade do Alemão

A manifestação que contou com mais de mil pessoas ocorreu em resposta ao assassinato de quatro moradores em menos de 48 horas

Mais de mil pessoas realizaram um protesto na manhã deste sábado (4) no Complexo do Alemão, no Rio de Janeiro (RJ), pedindo por paz na comunidade, que tem mais de 15 mil habitantes. A manifestação ocorreu em resposta à violência policial e ao assassinato de quatro moradores em menos de 48 horas nesta semana, entre eles Eduardo de Jesus Ferreira, de apenas 10 anos.

Com cartazes que diziam “- Bala + Amor”, “Merecemos viver sem medo de morrer” e “Pobreza não é caso de polícia”, os moradores e militantes de direitos humanos saíram em marcha pelas ruas da comunidade vestidos de branco.

“A minha filha mais velha não quer ir pra escola com medo de morrer. Estou caminhando hoje porque a nossa luta é pela vida. A gente quer viver”, relatou Camila, moradora do Complexo do Alemão e mãe de duas crianças, em entrevista à reportagem da Mídia Ninja, que transmitia ao vivo a mobilização.

Vanessa, que sempre viveu no Alemão, criticou as Unidades de Polícia Pacificadora (UPPs), que foi instalada no local em 2012. “A UPP vem só para destruir. O caso do Eduardo não é inédito, já vem acontecendo. Um dia antes uma mãe morreu. Esses policiais são covardes. Só vem para matar, tirar a vida dos outros”, disse. Apesar de não possuir nenhuma história de assassinato na família, Vanessa afirmou que “cada sangue de inocente que é derramado, sangra na gente. Aqui no Complexo do Alemão todo mundo é uma família”.

Outra declaração veio de um morador, que não quis se identificar por medo de represálias, assim como muitos que a reportagem da Mídia Ninja buscou ouvir. Aos gritos em meio ao protesto, ele sentenciou: “O maior investimento de dinheiro público é na UPP. Mas a gente precisa de creche, de posto de saúde. Policial só oprime! Fora UPP!”. Mais um morador que não se identificou disse: “Eu não tenho muito pra falar, eu só quero é paz…”

Para Raul Santiago, morador do Alemão e comunicador do Coletivo Papo Reto, “o policial puxa o gatilho, mas quem assina o atestado é o Estado, a mídia comercial, essa mídia escrota. A gente da mídia alternativa tem que disputar isso. Se a gente ficar parado, o rolo compressor passa por cima. Por isso a gente tem que ir par rua, protestar, lutar.”

Analisando a violência urbana no estado carioca, Santiago apontou que “as favelas do Rio vivem uma guerra há muito tempo. A diferença é que agora o Estado está patrocinando uma facção. A UPP é uma milícia patrocinada pelo Estado”. Na sua opinião, “a saída é investir em saneamento básico, investimento na população, na base. Não é através das armas que vai mudar alguma coisa, mas é investindo no povo.”

Solidariedade

Moradores de outras comunidades também foram até o Complexo do Alemão expressar sua solidariedade, como  Naldo Medeiros, morador da Maré. Segundo ele, “a única forma de diálogo que o Estado oferece para a favela é a polícia, a Secretaria de Segurança Pública. Ninguém aqui conhece o Secretário de Cultura, o de Educação. A opressão é grande, e não só da violência, você não tem escola, saneamento. Você vê a criança morrendo, o pobre, o preto morrendo, e isso corta o coração.”

Participando do protesto também estava o deputado estadual Marcelo Freixo (PSOL), integrante da Comissão de Direitos Humanos da Assembleia Legislativa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (ALERJ). Ele também criticou a falta de diálogo do Estado com as comunidades. “Não dá para olhar para o Alemão como um território a ser conquistado, como numa guerra. Tem que olhar como um lugar onde vivem pessoas, famílias. Enquanto o governador insistir em olhar para o Alemão como um território de guerra, vamos ter que contar os espólios dessa guerra. Vai morrer policial e morador”, disse.

Freixo ainda relacionou os casos de assassinatos de jovens negros com a recente aprovação da redução da maioridade penal em uma comissão da Câmara dos Deputados, avaliando que isso se trata de um retrocesso social muito grande.

“A gente já tem uma juventude negra e pobre que está morrendo. O índice de homicídios de um país em guerra não tem índices de jovens mortos por armas de fogo como nós temos. E o resultado disso é que agora o Estado quer criminalizar essa mesma juventude a jogando num cárcere, que já é abandonado. A gente institucionaliza que essa juventude estará no banco dos réus e não no banco das escolas”, criticou.

O ator Paulo Betti também esteve no protesto e cobrou maior compromisso do poder público. “Acho que as pessoas não têm consciência de que não é colocando na cadeia e punindo que o problema vai ser resolvido. O problema é social, é falta de escola. Não adianta colocar na cadeia, tem que colocar na escola. O que falta do governo é uma definição mais radical em favor dos pobres e não dos mais ricos”, afirmou.

Considerando como uma questão de justiça o ato pela paz no Alemão, Betti criticou outros protestos que vem sendo feitos pelo país, como aqueles que pedem o impeachment. “Chega a ser ridículo quando eu vejo aqui no Rio e em São Paulo aquelas manifestações de pessoas vestindo verde e amarelo. Política é algo mais complexo do que isso.”

Trajeto

O ato iniciou Estrada do Itararé e, pouco antes de terminar, ele parou em frente a Praça 24 de outubro onde foram feitos discursos contra a morte de inocentes na comunidade. Na linha de frente da marcha estavam dezenas de mototaxistas, que abriam caminho para a manifestação. Ao longo do trajeto, a população protestava em uníssono “Sem hipocrisia, essa polícia mata pobre todo dia” e “UPP chegou pra matar trabalhador.”

De acordo com o G1, o policiamento na região está reforçado por policiais das UPPs do Alemão e outras unidades, além de agentes do Comando de Operações Especiais, que envolve o Batalhão de Operações Especiais (Bope), além de veículos blindados e helicóptero.
