Trabalhadores(as) do HC denunciam falta de EPI’s

Os(as) trabalhadores(as) do Hospital de Clínicas, maior instituição de saúde pública do estado, estão sofrendo com a constante falta de materiais básicos. Itens como papel toalha e luvas, imprescindíveis para o manuseio de materiais biológicos altamente contaminados e com potenciais patógenos, estão zerados em todos os setores do Laboratório de Análises Clínicas (ULAC). Estes materiais também são considerados equipamentos de proteção individual – EPI’s.

A situação é crítica. No dia 04 de agosto, servidores(as) do setor protocolaram junto ao Sinditest um abaixo-assinado com mais de 100 assinaturas, no qual denunciam a situação e exigem do HC a reposição imediata destes materiais. Os(as) trabalhadores(as) ameaçam paralisar as atividades caso a reivindicação não seja atendida.

“Estão disponibilizando o equivalente a um pacote de papel toalha por setor por semana, que dura no máximo dois dias. Está escrito na pia que a lavagem das mãos é importante, mas do que adianta o hospital preconizar o procedimento se não temos nem papel toalha para enxugar as mãos? Passar álcool em cima da sujeira não adianta, não descontamina”, conta Jaqueline Balthazar Silva, técnica da Unidade de Análises Clínicas do HC e coordenadora de Saúde do Trabalhador do Sinditest.

De acordo com ela, há cerca de três meses eram disponibilizados 30 pacotes de papel toalha e 22 rolos de papel higiênico por semana para o ULAC. Hoje, a cada 15 dias, são repostos apenas cinco pacotes de papel toalha e dois a três rolos de papel higiênico para todo o laboratório. A redução foi drástica.

Segundo a legislação trabalhista brasileira, é obrigação do(a) empregador(a) fornecer aos empregados(as), gratuitamente, EPI adequado ao risco. No entanto, devido à falta de itens básicos, os(as) trabalhadores(as) do setor de análises clínicas continuam expostos aos riscos de contaminação por vírus e bactérias multirresistentes. Lavar as mãos, por exemplo, reduz em até 70% as chances de infecção hospitalar.

Líria Costa, funcionária do setor de agendamento, está indignada com a situação. “Sabemos que outros setores, como as UTIs, sofrem com a falta de medicamentos. Mas o que me deixa revoltada é que não temos nem o básico”.

Faltam desde luvas até papel higiênico. “Luvas a maioria usa tamanho médio, esses dias só tinha GG, que é gigante, fica ‘nadando’ na mão e impossibilita o tato necessário para manipular o material. Estava faltando luva M no hospital inteiro. Fomos buscar e não tinha no almoxarifado. Se não tivéssemos luvas nesta semana, não iríamos trabalhar”, relata Jaqueline.

Os(as) servidores(as) também reclamam da falta de papel higiênico, utilizado para secar as mãos quando o papel toalha acaba. “Não ter papel higiênico é um constrangimento”, finaliza a coordenadora.

Adicional de Insalubridade

Apesar dos EPIs não serem fornecidos com regularidade, o adicional de insalubridade dos(as) trabalhadores(as), que antes era de 20%, foi reduzido para 10%. A justificativa do empregador é que o fornecimento dos equipamentos exime o pagamento do adicional. Diante desta situação contraditória, o departamento jurídico do Sinditest trabalha para que os(as) servidores(as) voltem a receber os 20% referentes ao adicional.
