É com profunda tristeza que o SINDITEST-PR tomou conhecimento neste domingo (5) do falecimento do professor Cláudio Tonegutti, do Departamento de Química da UFPR.

Cláudio colaborou com muita energia na construção de uma Universidade pública de qualidade e socialmente referenciada. Por muitos anos, militou na seção do ANDES-SN na UFPR, a APUFPR. Seu exemplo inspira todos e todas na luta por uma Universidade com princípios democráticos e classistas.

Biografia

Formado em Química e com pós graduação na mesma área, Cláudio atuou no departamento de Química da UFPR até a última semana. Com uma imensa dedicação, atuou nos três pilares da Universidade com Ensino, Pesquisa e Extensão.

Foi chefe do Departamento de Química (2000-01), Tutor do Grupo PET Química – Programa de Educação Tutorial MEC/SESU (2003-07), Presidente da Associação dos Professores da UFPR (2005-07), Coordenador do Curso de Química da UFPR (1996-1999 e 2008-2011), membro do Conselho de Ensino, Pesquisa e Extensão da UFPR (1993-1995; 2008-2010), membro do Conselho de Administração e Planejamento da UFPR (2012-2014) e membro do Conselho Universitário da UFPR.

Foi também no ANDES-SN e APUFPR-SSind que Cláudio deixou mais um dos grandes legados. Entre 2012-2014 participou como 2º vice-presidente da Regional Sul da gestão do ANDES-SN. Sua primeira gestão como diretor na APUFPR foi em 1992, participando de mais cinco gestões.

A vida do professor Claudio foi pautada pela defesa da educação e pela construção de uma história de luta pela universidade pública. Sua atuação, sempre marcada pela serenidade e pelo equilíbrio das palavras, na unificação das lutas com as demais categorias da comunidade universitária e com os sindicatos de servidores públicos, o fez ser respeitado pelo movimento docente de todo o país. Suas análises eram extremamente qualificadas, seja sobre o financiamento da educação, orçamento da União para a educação, entre outras. Foram longos anos de bons combates em que ele esteve na frente de lutas, sem nunca recusar uma tarefa no ANDES e APUFPR, no GTPE local e nacional.

Claudinho, como era chamado pelos amigos, foi uma pessoa de raras qualidades, amigo, companheiro, solidário, perspicaz, racional, experiente, compreensivo, fiel às ideias, equilibrado, teimoso, capaz, tranquilo, gentil, amável, generoso e alegre. E com uma característica rara, humilde, dedicado, sem nenhuma preocupação com os holofotes e disputas de qualquer natureza.

O velório será realizado nesta segunda-feira (06), das 8h até às 11h, na capela da UFPR, seguido de velório e enterro em Campinas.
