Dercy Teles preside hoje o mesmo sindicato que Chico Mendes, há quase três décadas.

As mulheres camponesas têm conquistado cada vez mais autonomia e essa é uma consequência direta da integração da CSP-Conlutas à causa do campo. É essa a conclusão que se tira do painel ‘A luta no campo’, que aconteceu na manhã desta sexta-feira, 05, no segundo dia do Congresso Nacional da CSP-Conlutas.

“Eu estou até um pouco emocionado”, confessou Paulo Gico, da Confederação Nacional dos Agricultores Familiares e Empreendedores Familiares Rurais (Conafer). “Vocês não têm ideia da importância da CSP-Conlutas no campo, desde que ela abraçou a nossa causa. Antes era a história do companheiro que bebia umas cachaças, porque não tinha o que comer, chegava em casa e queria descontar na mulher. Mas a mulher agora participa do MML [Movimento Mulheres em Luta, filiado à CSP) e diz: ‘Êpa, não venha  não; se vier, o MML vai pegar você’. Porque a mulher do campo agora tem mais clareza”, palestrou.

Esse trabalho de conscientização, no entanto, não se restringe às mulheres e avança também por outras parcelas da população, como gays, lésbicas, bissexuais e transgêneros. “Todo um trabalho que é feito com um segmento do campo que a gente não conhecia. Sabia que existia, mas não conhecia.”

O próximo passo, para Gico, é a criação de uma secretaria nacional da agricultura familiar, ligada à CSP-Conlutas, um órgão capaz de organizar e aprofundar as reivindicações dos trabalhadores rurais. De imediato, de acordo com ele, essa secretaria deveria focar o trabalho na conscientização da juventude campal. “É urgente. Eles precisam saber de seus deveres, mas também de seus direitos. Não tem coisa mais humilhante para o homem do campo do que ir em uma prefeitura para pedir um caminhão de água, porque no nordeste é assim, e o secretário mandar ele falar com um vereador, porque daí pode amarrar votos.”

Exemplo à mão
Enquanto Paulo Gico argumentava, a plateia do painel podia ver um exemplo da autonomia da mulher do campo junto dele, no palco. Ao seu lado, na mesa do painel, estava a presidenta do Sindicato dos Trabalhados Rurais de Xapuri (AC), Dercy Teles. O sindicato presidido por ela é o mesmo que era encabeçado por Chico Mendes quando o líder seringueiro foi assassinado com um tiro de espingarda em uma emboscada, há 26 anos. De lá para cá, a situação dos trabalhadores extrativistas da Amazônia só fez piorar, de acordo com Dercy. “A Amazônia está sendo mercantilizada pelo governo e os trabalhadores perdendo o seu território. Eles migram para as periferias das cidades sem a necessidade de se serem expulsos pela polícia ou por jagunços.”

Migalhas e coronéis
Mas jagunços, coronéis e violência ainda fazem parte do panorama rural. Há 12 anos no poder, o PT nada fez para enfrentar o latifúndio, de acordo com a avaliação de Venâncio Guerrero, do Movimento Terra e Liberdade (MTL), outro integrante da mesa. Segundo seus cálculos, o ajuste fiscal proposto agora pelo governo federal vai impactar mais o campo do que a cidade. “Com uma reforma agrária de melhorismo, dando pequenas migalhas, o lulismo não enfrentou a figura do coronel. Agora, vai ser pior no campo, vai ser mais duro. Não é tempo de peleguismo”, orientou.
