Existe realmente uma Consciência Negra?

Novembro é nacionalmente conhecido pelo Mês da Consciência Negra. Os mais diversos espaços se tornam “palco” para acolher a dança, a música, a poesia e os debates sobre as africanidades e a população negra brasileira.

Mas existe realmente uma Consciência Negra? Ter consciência é para além de parar o que se está fazendo para assistir uma apresentação de dança afro-brasileira na rua. Ter consciência é reconhecer que no mercado, nos espaços religiosos, na escola, e nosso local de trabalho temos colegas negros e negras, e que quando ocorre um ato de discriminação ou racismo VOCÊ, independente da cor da sua pele, tem o dever de não se calar, VOCÊ tem o dever de ser solidário/a. Fazer algo concreto, agindo e denunciando para que fatos assim sejam extintos da sociedade.

Os crimes de racismo e injúria racial acontecem o tempo todo, não acontece só em novembro. Nos últimos meses alguns jornais e as redes sociais mostraram uma tímida reação favorável de combate ao racismo e a discriminação da população negra como nos casos da jornalista Maria Júlia (Maju), as atrizes Taís Araújo e Cris Vianna, o vereador curitibano Mestre Pop. VOCÊ já parou para pensar em quantas mulheres, homens e crianças negras sofrem racismo e injúria racial diariamente e por não serem famosos/as ninguém nunca vai saber?

Por esses e tantos outros motivos que no dia 18 de novembro foi realizada em Brasília a Marcha das Mulheres Negras do Brasil. Mais de 15 mil mulheres participaram deste ato e nós, mulheres negras do Sinditest, estávamos representadas. Mulheres negras, brancas e indígenas, homens e crianças estavam unidos para enegrecer as ruas do Distrito Federal, marchando Contra o Racismo que mata a população negra física e psicologicamente, Contra a Violência policial que mata milhares de mulheres e jovens negros em todas as cidades brasileiras, e pelo Bem Viver social.

Na carta entregue à presidenta Dilma estão presente as declarações e reivindicações das mulheres do país. Esse pode ser o primeiro de muitos encontros que mostrem ao governo e a toda a população que as Mulheres Negras do Brasil não se curvam ao racismo, resistem as discriminações e exigem seus direitos na sociedade. Precisamos falar abertamente sobre o racismo, a discriminação, a injúria racial e as consequências que afetam a população negra e que faz aumentar a desigualdade social.
